Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during the free phone consultation?

This is an opportunity for us to chat for 10-15 minutes. You share a little bit about what you are experiencing. I share whether or not I am suited to meet your needs and you assess how comfortable you feel with me over the phone. I explain the next steps and share a scheduling link with you.

         What is an Intake Session?

An intake session is our first scheduled 50 minute counseling session. This is the first time you and I meet virtually face to face and talk. I introduce you to the counseling process and the limits of confidentiality. After reviewing your initial paperwork, we discuss your concerns and create next steps regarding your treatment needs.

How long does a session last?

One session is 50 minutes long.

How much does a session cost?

A 50 minute session costs $135.

Do you accept Insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

That's a great question, but it's difficult to say. It really depends on your unique struggle and your commitment to the therapy process.

How much advance notice do I need to give if I want to change or cancel my appointment?

At least 24 hours notice of cancellation is expected. If you are unable to give me 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. Please call 321-430-8211 to cancel or change your appointment. You may also email [email protected]

Do you charge for late cancellations or no-shows?

Yes, I charge the full session fee if you do not cancel with at least a 24-hour notice.

What qualifies as a no-show?

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged the full fee for their “missed” appointment. If you are a no-show to your very first appointment you will be charged the full session fee.

What happens if i'm late?

Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, we will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible to pay for the “full” session. Please plan accordingly and be on time.

What is your privacy and confidentiality policy?
